Mr. Jonghun Shin passed the Korean Patent Attorney Examination in 2023 and majored in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He has been practicing at LEE & MOCK IP since 2024, where he is engaged in domestic and international intellectual property matters primarily in the fields of telecommunication standards and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
In particular, Mr. Shin handles standard-essential patent (SEP) matters relating to next-generation wireless communication technologies, including 4G LTE, 5G NR, 6G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and UWB. His practice includes domestic and foreign patent prosecution, specification drafting, claim analysis, Office Action responses, and the development of global patent filing and protection strategies. Based on his understanding of technical specifications and standardization trends of 3GPP, IEEE, and CCC, he has developed expertise in analyzing core standard-based technologies and implementation structures and translating them into effective patent claim coverage.
In addition, Mr. Shin also handles patent matters involving generative AI, machine learning, and data processing technologies, as well as RF and circuit design technologies such as power amplifiers, supply modulators, and antennas. He focuses on providing strategic IP solutions that comprehensively consider both technical sophistication and commercial applicability.
