Ms. Nayoung Kim majored in Electronic Engineering and passed the Korean Patent Bar Examination in 2019. Having joined Lee & Mock IP in 2020, she specializes in intellectual property matters related to telecommunication standard patents.

In particular, Ms. Kim is responsible for the domestic and international patent prosecution of inventions in next-generation communication fields, including 4G LTE, 5G NR, 6G, MIMO, beamforming, channel coding, Wi-Fi, satellite internet, and V2X. Additionally, her practice focuses heavily on analyzing the technical specifications of major international standardization organizations, such as 3GPP and IEEE, and identifying Standard Essential Patents (SEPs). In this process, Ms. Kim cross-checks the technical consistency between standard contributions (Tdoc) and finalized specifications. She also manages specific prosecution procedures to secure SEPs, such as redesigning claims in alignment with the ongoing stages of standardization discussions and strategically coordinating the timing for filing divisional applications.
