The Supreme Court has ruled that the act of a modification business altering an authentic bag and displaying the original trademark—pursuant to a request by the bag owner for personal use—does not constitute trademark infringement. Through this decision, the Court has established clear criteria regarding the boundaries between the modification of authentic goods and the protection of trademark rights.
